I’ve seen this noodle trick done in person, in a little eight-seater Halal-Mongolian restaurant outside Dongguan.  The noodlemaker twirled it over head, slapped the noodles down onto a metal table after each stretching.  When they were thin enough, he balled them up and made a perfect free throw out the window into a pot of boiling water outside.  Served with yak meat and green onions.  Mmmm.
