apparently if you add up all the federal research

Apparently, if you add up all the federal research dollars for alternative energy, they total less than about half of what Americans spend on psychics.  Not physics, psychics.  As in fortune-tellers.  And we spend about 7 times as much on tanning.  Yikes.
