Today is Samuel Johnson’s birthday, and maybe a good time to remind you that I run a blog on his behalf.  

Samuel Johnson’s essays are his best work (ok, ok, maybe the dictionary entries), but reading whole collections of them is just overwhelming.  So, since 2011 I’ve been publishing Johnson’s essays at the same rate he wrote them, so they can be consumed at a more leisurely rate.  By sticking to his original publishing schedule (just time-shifted by a few hundred years), you can get a steady drip of his trademarked wit / weirdness / occasional whining.
