War in Heaven

A bit more than a year ago, I published a new printing of my Main Weirdo Charles Williams’ book, The Place of the Lion. Any money from sales just got funneled into a bank account set aside for printing the next book (he wrote seven novels). And today, the second in the series is available!

War In Heaven is one of the most entertaining novels from Williams. It’s a murder mystery mixed with a Holy Grail heist, with mysticism and black magic thrown in. But despite that mélange, the plot is straightforward, and it’s a real page-turner. Also, a mythical character waltzes in around halfway through to provide some Chorus-like commentary and eventual deus ex machina support, but I won’t spoil that for you. If you’ve never read a novel by Charles Williams, this is the one to start with.

And if that wasn’t enough, we also opened up pre-orders for the next one, AND set up a new online store and fulfillment vendor. This is exciting - there’s real steam gathering behind this project, and the new partner means I don’t have to pack and ship every book.
