BNB Distillery Tour
In our ongoing series of ‘do something new on Final Fridays’, we took the BNB crew on a tour at Holladay Distillery in Weston, MO. This outfit was a distillery back in the settler’s times, but since pivoted to just bottling and marketing other spirits, notably bottom-shelf vodka with 100 different cloying sweet flavors.
But with the whisky boom, they’ve pivoted back to making their own ‘Missouri Bourbon’ (although I’m not convinced that’s a thing), and they’ve got a cool operation that is also a well-run tour facility. It was fun to see the process!
They only started a few years ago, so there’s not any actual aged whisky to try yet - but they do have rebranded spirits from others, and let me tell you: it’s BAD. I’ll definitely try it again once they’ve got their final product, and the nastiness of what they sell did not diminish my enjoyment of the tour at all. I LOVE tours.
The coolest part of the operation was their bottling facility, where they bottle all the vodka products that they flavor and brand. We only got to look down from a little viewing area, but it’s fun to see all the conveyor belts move. Look at ‘em go!
